99forthe1 meets those in need where they already are — there is no need to come to us. With our unique mobile homeless ministry, we are able to lend a hand right where its needed most. A one stop shop to make those in need feel good again. They can walk in one door, shower, shave, get clean clothes, fill a bag with hygiene products for the week, get a meal and walk out the other door feeling good about themselves. We don’t want to give a hand out, but more of a hand up.
AidNow exists to bring education, health, sanitation, and physical resources together to assist individuals in South Eastern Virginia, Nationally, and Globally. Basically, we are here to help. Everyone. Love is a universal language and it’s something that is in great demand in our current society. Through our projects and connections, our goal is to see all man-kind raised to a better standard of living, bonding with their community, and reaching out to others in need.

Coaster coffee is operating as a non-profit business. All profits go back into the community by feeding the hungry, building community gardens, teaching kids the arts and helping people who are out of work secure employment. Other creative ways to put resources back into the community to benefit our city will continue to be developed.
Crisis Pregnancy Center
Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater is a Christ-centered organization with a calling to reach out to women and families involved in crisis-related pregnancies by offering real help for the present,hope for the future, and healing from the past. CPC exists to save lives, spare hearts and further the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want our clients to know we genuinely care and have no financial gain from their pregnancy decision. We raise all financial support for our ministry through private funding.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Emmanuel is grounded in traditional Lutheran worship and it is our usual format. Occasionally we have a contemporary service where both morning services are led by vocalists, guitar, and bass. Our contemporary services are not on any fixed schedule.

JCOC offers second chances to people in crisis. Our mission is to empower homeless families and individuals to recover from crisis situations and return to being self-supporting, productive, and independent members of our community. We provide individual and group counseling, housing location and financial assistance, educational resources and employment services so that clients
have the best chance to obtain permanent housing and sustainable employment. Most importantly we serve as advocates and support system to help our clients transition out of crisis and into a new life.
Here at Liberty, we believe that a church is not measured by its seating capacity, but by its sending capacity. The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, “Go and do likewise.” For over 40 years, Samaritan’s Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ’s command by going to the aid of the world’s poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Shining Light Homes Ministries
Our ultimate goal is to purchase or lease our first maternity home to temporarily house young mothers and their small children should they find themselves homeless or without support from family or the father of their baby. As Advocates, we connect single mothers to local resources. The goal is to help these single mothers to become self-sufficient by learning to take care of themselves and their babies, while they work at improving their financial situation through education and training, connecting them to community resources and assistance, and moving them into their own home, with a job, child care and transportation.
Sonrise Ministries is a non-profit organization which produces the SonRise Music Festival. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-believing and prayer-minded team that desires for God to be the center of life in Hampton Roads.

Team Hoyt VB
Team Hoyt VB is a sub-chapter of The Hoyt Foundation, founded by Dick and Rick Hoyt. Born in 1962, Rick was diagnosed as a spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy. Dick and his then-wife, Judy, were advised to institutionalize Rick because there was no chance of him recovering, and little hope for Rick to live a ‘normal’ life. This was just the beginning of Dick and Judy’s quest for Rick’s inclusion in community, sports, education and one day, the workplace.
Temple Baptist Church
Temple is a grace-filled community of Jesus followers seeking to reach people who are broken and far from God and help them become fully-devoted followers of Christ. They want to uplift people who are broken or far from God. They will accept people with open arms and bring them on an enlightened path. The Eliza Hope Foundation
The Eliza Hope Foundation and therapy center is a place for children and families affected by Autism. The mission of the Eliza Hope Foundation is to provide educational support for children and families who are living with Autism Spectrum disorders in the Hampton Roads area and beyond. We have created a center completely dedicated to providing the special services, teachers and equipment necessary to meet the unique learning needs of these children.
The H.E.R. Shelter
The H.E.R. Shelter is a private, non-profit agency, certified by the United Way of South Hampton Roads, and the statewide coalition: Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance (VSDVAA). We participate in the Coordinated Crisis Response, a 24-hour emergency hotline where a trained advocate can assist individuals in need of information, referrals, or – when appropriate – can provide safe, emergency housing for a woman and her children. The H.E.R Shelter currently operates two shelter facilities in the cities of Portsmouth and Chesapeake, Virginia.

Virginia Beach Justice Initiative
We are a faith-based nonprofit. Our purpose is to end human trafficking in Hampton Roads through awareness, prevention initiatives and intervention strategies that meet the needs of trafficking survivors. We have the privilege of introducing trafficking victims to the possibility of a new beginning through advocacy and our innovative jail program.
